Oticon unveiled their cutting-edge AI hearing aid - Ottawa Hears

In February 2023, Oticon launched a new hearing aid called Oticon Real. It uses artificial intelligence, or AI, a type of computer technology.
Oticon recorded 12 million sounds from everyday places using 360 microphones. They used these sounds to teach the computer inside the hearing aid to react to various sounds.
Oticon's idea was to make their hearing aid work like our brain does when we hear sounds, they use Deep Neural Network (DNN) and Polaris R Platform. This way, the hearing aid doesn't just focus on voices but lets you hear everything, like birds singing or water flowing, without making it harder to understand what people are saying.
